My new shoes, Tannie Man inspection!

Last week I got a great pair of new trendy brown sequin espadrilles.

I was so excited to find them for a mere $29. But there was one other person, ahem, kitty that was more excited than me.....

The Tannie Man

You can see that he is inspecting my new espadrilles and making sure that they work well with his brown fuzzy toy!

Does this go on at your house?

Please share your shoe stories & post your shoe pics....I hope I am not alone!

I have actually seen my Mom do this several times. It's very embarassing when we have company...

Ummm....those shoes are his now!! Do you want to wear something with cat-spit all over it? He did it on purpose you know. He put his scent on them so all the world knows you are his.

One time, we had a bunch of guys sitting in a circle in our living room (meeting). Bonnie went around the circle, thoroughly sniffing each man's shoes. When she got to Ned, she took much longer and gave a closer inspection so we asked, "Where have YOUR shoes been lately?" He said, "Nowhere interesting, but I did walk into the barn last week." Ahhhh.

I've also found cat toys in my boots as I put my toes in or in the shoes I brought along to change into. Oh, oops, that's my mousey. I mean....

My husband has taught one of our cats (Sputnik) that when she rubs her cheek on my sneaker and makes a Big Stinky Face (you know, when cats curl their lips and wrinkle their nose) she'll get a treat. So yours truly looks like the Original Stinky Girl whenever Sputnik wants a treat...

This happens in my house too.. but more with my dog than my cat :-)

Oh it happens here too! Timmy's favorite shoe happens to be my favorite sneakers that I've prided myself on not getting dirty. One day I was sitting in the living room and heard a HUGE ::thump:: I looked up to see my charming dear flossing his teeth with the shoestring. He flung the sneaker in the air and tumbled over it and eventually it ended up in the living room with me. He was very proud of himself! Me? Not so happy. This went on for about a week. EVERY DAY he would floss his teeth with my shoestring and knock the sneaker all over the house. I had to hide them for a while ;)

I have a slight addiction to shoelaces and have been known to drag a sneaker or two through the house.

I don't mess with the shoes much, my mum got sort of upset when Cornish Grandma's woofie ate the laces out of her trainers so I decided to leave shoes well alone...

GK does not care much for my boots. I think he finds them too plebian for his tastes.
