Mom has promised to post a story about me tomorrow. I told her these gold kitties have had too much blog time and that I am ready for my story to be told.
We can't wait to hear about the Pawtraits contest too!
Also, I would like to know if there are any other kitties out there that must drink from running water in the tub? Please explain to my mom how important this is. She is thinking of stopping this ritual we have.....HELP.
Toasty-ist regards,
Your furry friend Blackie!

lookin' forward to your story.
when i was a little kitten it was very important to me to drink from the tub faucet, but i outgrew that, don't know why. my Mom does change my water bowls constantly and there are three of them, so my water is pretty fresh and cold.
Blackie,
You are quite handsome! Looking forward to your story.
Our mom never turns on the bathtub, just the shower. She says she doesn't have time for tubs now. I don't know what she means, exactly. She certainly has time to sit in front of the computer half the day. But then, I can't talk, can I...
~ turtle :-)
I drink from the tub every day. I also love to sit in the steam between the shower curtain and liner and lick the liner.
That's not weird, right?
My late Tintin used to do this. And he lived for 17 years... :o)
I don't drink from taps myself, but my Uncle Sim in Montana's two weird cats won't drink from anywhere except taps. I'm not saying this is a bad thing but those two are not highly-rated in the brains department.
I too must drink from the tap. Not the tub, but the bathroom faucet. I like a slow drip...drip...drip. It's just the way it is and it is a ritual with me & mom too. -Scooby
Oh, well, tell your mom that water is only worth drinking from a non-bowl fixture. We vote KEEP the ritual.
Hope this helps you sweetie!

cute kitties!
Bonnie *insists* on running water (sink, not tub), so I got her a fountain. It's great! She likes the Petmate better than the Drinkwell (quieter and less $). In fact, as soon as I set it up, she guarded the fountain in case we changed our minds! She's in the sinks a lot less now and doesn't mind Victor using the fountain. When the pump wore out (2+ years with hard water) I got a replacement on-line. Highly recommended if you want to get your sink back.
Dear Blackie (and the other Whippy Curly Tails)
We have a cat fountain at our house, too. Everyone *really* likes it a lot. In the summertime, we put ice cubes in it, and the kitty boys try to flip them out on to the kitchen floor, and then they play "Kitty Ice Hockey" with the melting ice cubes! The kitty girls love to drink from it, and they are very dainty about it. (of course!)
Hope to see your new story soon!
:)
But don't you get your toes wet when you do that? The sink is better, especially if you have one of those high faucets designed with us in mind. Tell your mom to get one of those!
Oh dear you can't turn off the faucet. We drink out of the sink in the bathrooms running water. It tastes the best. ~Merlin,Shadow, Ko Ko
Oh yes, Sebastian loves drinking from the tub and the sink. When he hears the faucet turn on, he jumps right in. I'll try to take a picture next time. http://ilovecatnip.blogspot.com
