This little kitty is my brother's lastest addition to his family. He took a picture of her while I was giving her a good head scratching. Click on the photo and check out her eyes...there are no enhancements here...pretty cool!
BTW...Blackie is doing well. He is so much more active. I have given him some of his favorite dry...just a little bit! But the good news is I got him Wellness dry food and wet. He is note quite sure about this new stuff. Time will tell...
Many thanks for all the nice comments for Blackie....he loves all the kitty support!

llustration Friday: "Fresh"
I love my little kitty
her coat is so warm.
And if I don't hurt her
She'll do me no harm
I won't pull her tail,
Or drive her away
And kitty and I
Very gently will play.
~by Mother Goose
Blackie is wishing his "fresh" wet cat food would morph into a big bowl of dry food. Sorry BBB.! He is doing great on his new diet of no dry food. I thought I would give him a boost in his morale and feature him in Illustration Friday this week. Enjoy! =^..^=

Mother & Son
These 2 are so funny. Momma Cat "MC" chases her son Happy Cat all around the house. My brother thinks that MC would rather be a solo kitty. It's like Happy never left home to strike out on his own...ha!
Anyway, they love to snooze together. They are so ying & yang. BTW...MC is spending time with my mom in another city in the Toasty South. Happy has a new roomie, Miss Belle. They both live with my brother Pablo. =^..^=

Miss S and BBB's Heart Bowl
Yesterday we had a day of cat games...since the BBB needs his cardio workout, every kitty gets a workout. This is a picture of Miss S later in the evening. She was in the midst of a cat bathe! =^..^=
Blackie's heart bowl is quite popular...so here is a closer look. By the way The BBB is doing great. He seems to have more energy and is back to wrestling with his brother, Tannie Man. I am sure it is helping that I am playing with him. I realized I had been spending so much time on the computer, time I use to spend with the kitties. More time for kitties now! =^..^=

Saved Kitty--The Story
My brother has rescued a kitty that was homeless! I will provide a detailed story tomorrow. Kitty was tested and found to be a healthy male, who had been fixed and declawed. Kitty got a bath too! Photo is of kitty, in my garage, before kitty was taken to the Vet. All is well for the kitty! =^..^=
The story, as told by my brother, typed by me:
The white kitty was adopted by the family of one of the people that works at our vet. The white kitty's information was posted on several "lost" pet web sites. We believe that the kitty was abandoned by a family that moved long ago. The kitty was very thin and appeared to have been on his own for a long time. He is beautiful now and will be plumped up with some love and daily feedings! =^..^=
Blackie's weightloss progress
Hi from Tannie Man, Mom says thank you to all the nice furry blogger friends for the diet tips for my brother Blackie.
See the photo of Blackie, above, that is him laying near where is food bowl use to be. He is not quite sure what is going on and is showing his feelings by keeping his ears down. Miss S and I think he is napping near where the bowl was to make sure he knows if it comes back. :(
The BBB loved his white ceramic heart decorated food bowl. We discovered something funny about The B--we think he liked the food bowl more that his food. Mom felt bad for him and gave him a spoonfull of his favorite dry food. But he would not eat it because it was not in the ceramic heart bowl. Meow, whats up with that??
Good news...because of The BBB needing to have a cardio workout, Mom has played with us all morning! She did not get on her yucky computer thingy until many hours today! We do not like the thingy that she taps taps taps on...it gets more attention that we do! (Mom, says she is going to the Pet Store today to see about new wet food....so we say THX, we love new stuff to eat, Meow......) xxx ooo Tannie Man =^..^=

Blackie needs Diet Tips...blogger friends help!
Dear blogger furry friends, Blackie has gotten very chubby and is not to comfortable. I have removed his kitty bowl that always had lots of dry food in it. The other kitties have no interest in dry food! He is so sad when he walks to his bowl and sees no dry food...I filled it with a small amount of wet food. My poor BBB.
Tonight I played with Blackie and the gold kitties...feather sticks and toy balls. Do any of you have any diet tips or feeding recommendations?
I would love to hear your pets feeding habits. xxx ooo The Whippy Curly Tails =^..^=

The Bath Tub Gang
The new place for the brothers to hang out is in the tub. Tannie Man just jumps in for the photo op. =^..^=
Blackie will spend endless hours yowling in the bathroom until I show up and turn on the water. Then he proceeds to get splattered with water as he drinks...sort of a bath misting experience, which leaves him all wet.
Are there any other water kitties out there? I bet you dogs live for water. I remember our family dog lived for the garden hose blasting water in her face--she loved that...crazy dogs. Why do they love to hang their heads out car windows too, I bet Splash knows...?

Blackie's Questions
Today I was in the kitchen and napping by the window. My mom sneaked up on me and took this picture. I usually jump when I hear the camera noise, but today I was enjoying the sunshine.
I would like to know the following, from you:
1. What does your human mom/dad do that drives your crazy?
2. Are you scared of thunder? If yes, where do you hide? (I run in the walk-in closet!)
Meow....=^..^=

Tannie Man, snuggled in
This one of my most favorite pictures! This basket is the favorite napping spot for all the Whippy Curly Tails.
Tannie has a question for all the furry blog friends:
If you could eat one thing for dinner each evening, what would it be? Would it people food or a special type of animal snack...doggie treats or Pounce for kitties? =^..^=

The Houston SPCA has received more than 600 animal victims of Hurricane Katrina. We opened our doors to 263 canines and felines from the Louisiana SPCA before the storm hit and now we have accepted animals from evacuees at the Houston Astrodome, Reliant Arena and George R. Brown Convention Center.
We anticipate hundreds more in the coming days and weeks.
Monetary donations are most needed to help us care for the hundreds of extra animals in our shelter now and those we will be taking in and caring for in the coming weeks and months. CLICK HERE to donate now to the Houston SPCA.

Happy Cat...Zulu's request
All you kitties out there, Zulu and Nanu, there seems to be a trend with your pesky doggy roomies--they drive you crazy! Our mom has been laughing out loud as she reads your comments. Now we may never get her off the computer! Meep. =^..^=
To Zulu kitty here is a picture of me. My human dad caught me in the act of reviewing the status of my furry grey coat. I really love this mirror...at first I thought it was some strange kitty, but then I realized it was me--Happy Cat.
By the way, I love to sit on this wicker chase lounge that is covered in Finding Nemo beach towels and when no one is looking I have taken to digging out the cheesecloth under every bed and burrow in the box mattress, nice and dark! If I could do anything I wanted I would chase every squirrel I have every seen.... what I would do with those squirrels I don't know, meow!

Houston SPCA, help Animal Victims of Katrina
The Whippy Curly Tails donated to the SPCA, in memory of Spencer, Daniel and AJ's dog. =^..^=
Animal Storm Victims Arrive at the Houston SPCA from Hurricane Katrina. Please help if you can.
The Houston SPCA extended a helping paw once again to animals impacted by disasters in the United States. Sunday morning, crews from the Louisiana SPCA arrived at the Houston SPCA. The evacuation of the Louisiana SPCA brought over 260 animals from their shelter. Due to the hit from Hurricane Katrina in the Gulf Coast region, the Louisiana SPCA moved all animals out of their shelter to the Houston SPCA. They are now accepting animals from those who are staying in Houston Area Shelters. For those needing shelter for their pets, please their hotline at 713-802-0555.
Monetary donations are needed to help them care for the over 260 extra animals in our shelter and to help them help the Louisiana SPCA respond to the needs of the animals still in the area.
Click here if you would like to donate to the Houston SPCA. You can also click here to read Houston's SPCA home page.
Avram at his New Cat City blog provided me with this need, from one of his postings. Thanks Avram!
